Founded in 1945, TCSC is a private, members-only facility located in the picturesque Catoctin Mountains at the confluence of the Monocacy River and Hunting Creek. We are a short twenty-minute drive north of Frederick, MD. We were founded in 1945.

The Conservation and Sportsman’s Club of Thurmont’s facilities include a modern RV campground with electric and water hookups lying along Hunting Creek, creating a peaceful getaway spot for members and their guests. Visit our main website at tcandsc.org for more information about our club.

In 2010 TCSC saw the need to expand ity’s training from Marylasnd Hunter’s Education to other firearms Training and started teaching NRA Basic Pistol courses. People soon started asking us for other type classes and we expanded our offerings. Every bit of our course fees go to the club as we are a not-for-profit 501c4. And, since all our instructors are volunteers, we can offer the training to you for less!
